It's really personal preference but I have to go with the hero s the motorola electrify has a dual core 1 GH processing system which is really fast and the htc hero s has a one core 1.2 GH processing system so they really even out. Htc sence is really nice and you will really like the personality you can add to the phone when the motorola electrify is nowhere close and is really just stock android which I really don't like the htc hero s has a 4 in display and the electrify has 4.3 in display. And so one but they really are even so it's just if you need a bigger screen go with the electrify if you want to really make the phone you! Go with the hero just go try them out!

As far as charging money for using a phone as a HotSpot. That would go based on your plan.

The phone does have a hotspot option, which it goes cost wise the same as any phone that has Wi-Fi Hot Spot.

Currently, there are no extra charges, as long as US Cellular hangs on to their unlimited data plan, (which isn't long, unfortuately, they're axing that plan in November, but you'll be grandfathered in).

well they technically do charge, even for your desire, but there is no way for them to know you are using it. when they charge you for it you are paying for the extra 5gb of data you get with the package. so the short answer is no you will not be charged unless you want the other 5gb on top of the 5gb in your smartphone plan. (same deal as you desire)

You can install a program to remove the very annoying shutter sound. Look for the app "Silent Snap" on the market. There is a free and paid option.

On other similar Motorola phones they provide the option to eliminate the shutter sound. I have no idea why the Electrify does not have this option.

Question

Gsm support?

So I've been told many things. "The Elecrify does have LTE" "It's 3G only" "it can roam internationally if you pop in a sim card" "The sim card slot has no function"

What I want to know is if it does or doesn't have:
International Roaming
If yes for International roaming, what frequencies/bandwidths
A sim card
LTE (4g) support eventually
if yes LTE, then will it need a software/hardware upgrade when they launch the 4G network

Thanks in advanced?

It is all good to go for the 4G.
It is world phone capable but you need a sim card for the country you are going to.
For example, your going to Iraq, you get a sim card for Iraq and your covered. I don't know what your bill will be but your phone will work.

Don't know what frequencies sorry
You have to buy the sim card

You will most likely need a upgrade

This phone is a copy of the phantom 4g so it should have about all the same features and I'm sorry if Im wrong but I did do some research !

I prefer touch-screen typing over a QWERTY keyboard. I use a typing program called Swype which comes stock in most touch-screen phones. It increases your WPM substantially and is easy to use.

As for the email program, if there is an app for it, then you can use it.

It's a VGA camera, which is different from cameras with a MP-rating. It's strictly for use on video chat software like Google Talk, not for taking vanity pictures like you would be able to do with an iPhone 4/4S. It's sufficient. (After a little Google search, it seems that this would equate to 0.3 MP or 640 x 480).
