OMG yes this is very annoying... I'm not a big fan of the camera. Not many options and settings in the camera and this shutter sound is one of them. My opinion on the camera: by today's standards I would give it 6 out of 10.

answer 2
You can install a program to remove the very annoying shutter sound. Look for the app "Silent Snap" on the market. There is a free and paid option.

On other similar Motorola phones they provide the option to eliminate the shutter sound. I have no idea why the Electrify does not have this option.

Question

Gsm support?

So I've been told many things. "The Elecrify does have LTE" "It's 3G only" "it can roam internationally if you pop in a sim card" "The sim card slot has no function"

What I want to know is if it does or doesn't have:
International Roaming
If yes for International roaming, what frequencies/bandwidths
A sim card
LTE (4g) support eventually
if yes LTE, then will it need a software/hardware upgrade when they launch the 4G network

Thanks in advanced?

It is all good to go for the 4G.
It is world phone capable but you need a sim card for the country you are going to.
For example, your going to Iraq, you get a sim card for Iraq and your covered. I don't know what your bill will be but your phone will work.

It does have international roaming
Don't know what frequencies sorry
You have to buy the sim card
I'm pretty sure it will have 4g support
You will most likely need a upgrade

This phone is a copy of the phantom 4g so it should have about all the same features and I'm sorry if Im wrong but I did do some research !

Question

Touch screen vs. qwerty? Can I use thunderbird for e-mail?

It took me a little while to get used to my touch screen on my Samsung Messager but I really don't have any problems now. How well does the touch screen work for typing?

I prefer touch-screen typing over a QWERTY keyboard. I use a typing program called Swype which comes stock in most touch-screen phones. It increases your WPM substantially and is easy to use.

As for the email program, if there is an app for it, then you can use it.

There is not freezing on the electrify like there was with the mesmerize. Overall a faster phone but gimme some hd games that take advantage of this hardware!

It's a VGA camera, which is different from cameras with a MP-rating. It's strictly for use on video chat software like Google Talk, not for taking vanity pictures like you would be able to do with an iPhone 4/4S. It's sufficient. (After a little Google search, it seems that this would equate to 0.3 MP or 640 x 480).

Question

Does the LED notification light turn on when charging?

I used to have the HTC desire and the light would turn red when it was charging and green when it was fully charged. Does the electrify do that too? Mine doesn't and I didn't know if there was something wrong with my phone or if it's not supposed to light up. The only way I know if its charges is if I turn the screen on, which seems kinda dumb.

A lot the phone's memory is taken up by the Operating System and the User Interface, so the 16 GB is not the actual amount. After all the original software is put on, and the storage is partitioned into separate sections (e.g. Application). So there is technically 16gb of storage on your phone, but only about 12gb is usable.

If you need it to last longer in general that's hard but here are some ways! Turn the screen brightness down! Take off the widgets like weather stuff because the phone is keeping them ready if you click on the screen!
