Gmail comes pre-loaded on the phone, and setting up multiple inboxes (for different accounts) is very easy. It is also very easy to navigate between different inboxes. Only con of the gmail is that it takes a little getting used to to know how to reply, forward, and I have accidentally archived emails because I was unfamiliar with the buttons.

To find emails that you archive you have to search for the person's name or the subject of the email and click "move to inbox" and it goes back to the main screen.

1. Tons of phones, including all iPhones lack replaceable batteries. In fact an industry has grown up: you can find many online places that will sell you a new battery and give you detailed instructions on how to replace them in your phone all you need is patience and tech skills. Current batteries tend to last long enough that most just decide to upgrade.

2. You reboot by holding down the power + volume down buttons together. I've had my M for 3 weeks, it has never misbehaved or required a reboot, consider the possibility it's a good stable phone and you shouldn't NEED to be constantly rebooting. Of course if you root to whatever ROM you can succeed in making any phone unstable...

There's a fullscreen addon to Firefox for Android, I don't care for Chome anyway. Hint: If you try it, get the latest FF Nightly, the last regular FF for Android release is way too old and does not play well with Ice Cream, the Nightly is totally stable and lightyears ahead on features. Using it for weeks and has never crashed.

All "smart phones" require internet service. unfortunately for the not so tech savvy folks out there the list of non-smart phones is shrinking and will soon, in my opinion, disappear. Go to your local corpoate owned store and have a chat with a rep about smart phones and learn some of the advantages of a smart phone and you may find you want one more than you think.

go into settings and select battery and data manager

make sure those top 3 boxes are checked. im not sure which one pertains to your issue. However, i have noticed that it will automatically uncheck those boxes periodically by itself so you have to keep checking them. which is stupid
Also having problems with this phone sending pics, they just sit there waiting to be sent for no apparent reason. Getting pretty sick of this phone and im going to switch soon

open the folder on your sd card where your ringtones are located. tap and hold the file(s) you want to move and you will get a message on screen telling you to choose the destination folder.
at the top left you can navigate to the folder where you want to put the file(s). once you get there, look to the right hand corner, under the time, and you'll see *move* .. tap there, and you've moved your files!
or you can do the same type of thing by hooking your phone to your computer, and then dragging and dropping the files to the correct folder. either way will work.
I hope this helped you!

The battery inside this phone is an Li-Ion battery (Lithium Ion). These types of batteries you do not want to run down all the way, because this causes the battery's life to decrease. For the best battery life, keep the phone above 40%. Multiple small charges are better than longer charges.

answer 2
I have the same problem.
After spending some time with US C tech support both over the phone and in the store I have been given a couple of likely theories. By the way, both contacts indicated that the store's Electrify M demo had also lost voice commands capability, and I would expect that all of us who own this phone have as well. The stronger theory of the two is that an operating system upgrade from Motorola dropped voice commands. Given your experience of being able to regain this function when you reset to factory default, but losing it after a while, when your phone reloads system upgrades, I think this the problem.
The solution?
The tech I spent a half hour with showed me that the google search function across the top of the home screen can respond to phone call voice commands, at least for dialing. Push the little microphone symbol and give it a try. Worked for me when I asked it to call home, although it took a while to sift through the virtually limitless number of possible things I might be asking it like where to find pizza or to find a picture of a tiger.
The downside?
My excellent Blue Ant s4 hands free car speaker can't be used to verbally access voice commands any more, so no more hands free dialing while I drive. I can still receive calls, so now it's almost half as useful as it used to be.
I would like to think that google android or motorola (now owned by google) might restore this function, as an operating system upgrade has eliminated a useful capability, but then there are many, many things that I'd like to happen that probably won't.

US Cellular, is there anything you can do to help us out with this?

Question

reception in remote areas any good????

I live in a rural area and reception is crucial. My Motorola electrify I have now is a 3G and has been great. Is the 4G any good at reception? It is one of the only things I haven't seen mentioned so far in the reviews I've read.

Sim cards can be moved/removed, but your phone won't work as you expect without a SIM card. If the SIM card is the problem, go see your USCC retailer.

If you meant SD card, of course you can take it out. Remember that whatever you loaded on the card (apps, apps data, photos, music, etc)will not be usable on the phone if you have it removed. Of course, if it isn't working now...what would be the difference?
